Grow Leads
For the calls you can't get to

The call you missed just got answered.

You're on a roof, under a sink or halfway through a cut, and the phone goes. A voicemail gives the caller nothing, and the next name on the list is one tap away. This answers instead, as your business, asks the questions you'd ask, and texts you the details before they've hung up.

Don't take our word for it

Ring it now. It takes a minute.

This is a live demo line, with the same voice and the same brains as the real one. It won't text anyone or put you through, because there's no real roofer on the other end. Everything else is how it would deal with your customers.

Call 07457 410691
  1. 1Ring 07457 410691 from any phone.
  2. 2It will ask which business it's answering for. Say Northgate Roofing, a made-up roofer we set up for this.
  3. 3Tell it your roof's leaking, ask what areas it covers, ask what it costs. Try to catch it out.
  4. 4If we've told you yours is ready, ring from your own mobile and it answers as your business instead.

How a call goes

From the first ring to the text on your phone.

  1. 1

Your phone rings first, like it always has

Nothing changes about your number. If you can pick up, you pick up. The receptionist only gets the call when you're busy, don't answer, or have no signal. The calls that used to go to voicemail.

  2. 2

It answers as your business, and says it's an AI

“Hello, you've reached Northgate Roofing. I'm an AI assistant. I answer when the team can't get to the phone, and I take a written note of our call so they can get straight back to you. How can I help?” It always says what it is. If anyone asks, it says so again.

  3. 3

It answers what it knows and asks what you'd ask

Your services, your hours, the area you cover, and your prices where you publish them. Then the questions that tell you whether a job is worth dropping everything for: what's happened, where they are, how big the job is, and whether it needs doing today.

  4. 4

You get a text while they're still talking

Name, number, postcode, what they need and how urgent it is, on your mobile before the call has even finished. The number in the text is taken from caller ID, so it's never mistyped.

  5. 5

It tells them when you'll ring back

Using a rule you set, for example the same day for calls before four, otherwise first thing the next working morning. It never makes up a time of its own, and it never promises you'll take the job.

The part that wins you the job

It tells you who to ring back first.

Answering the phone is the easy half. The half that matters is what reaches you afterwards.

A storm comes through overnight. By nine you've missed four calls. A voicemail gives you four numbers and no idea which is a fence flat on the lawn that needs making safe today, and which is someone pricing up a job for the spring.

The receptionist asks each of them what's happened, where they are, roughly how big the job is and whether it has to be today. You get four texts you can read in ten seconds, and you ring the right one first.

Texts to your mobile, during the call

URGENT, today.DH1. About 12 panels down after last night, garden open to the road. Sarah, caller's number: 07700 900452. Told to expect a call this morning.
Not urgent.DH7. Wants a price for 20 metres of new fencing in the spring. Mark, caller's number: 07700 900118. Told to expect a call today.

The honest bit

What it won't do, and why.

It won't book jobs into your diary

Deliberately. A roofer doesn't want a stranger's booking turning up on a Tuesday because a computer said yes. It takes the details and you decide who's worth a visit. Online booking is a different product, and we build that too.

It won't quote a price you haven't given it

If you publish your prices, it can repeat them. If you don't, it says you'll go through that when you ring back. It never invents a number, a date, or a promise on your behalf.

It never rings anyone

It only ever answers. No robot call backs, no reminder calls, no chasing. You make the call back yourself, which is the part customers actually want.

It doesn't pretend to be a person

It says it's an AI in its first sentence, and again if asked. That's the honest way to do it, and in a growing number of places it's the law.

It doesn't record your customers

No audio is kept. There's a written transcript of each call, and if you want to see exactly what was said on one, ask and we'll send it to you.

It isn't for every business

We don't set it up for solicitors, medical advice lines or financial advisers, or anywhere a mishandled call could be a safety problem. Trades, salons, garages, studios and cleaners are all fine.

What it costs

One flat price. Nothing per call.

  • £49 a month, added to any of our website plans. No setup fee.
  • Covers up to 150 minutes of calls a month, which is a lot of missed calls. If you're regularly going over, we'll talk. You'll never get a surprise bill.
  • We set it up, write it around your business, and change it whenever you ask. Month to month, stop whenever you like.

Questions people ask

The practical stuff.

Do I have to change my number?
No. Your number stays exactly as it is, on your phone, with your network. You dial a short code once, which tells your phone to pass a call on only when you're busy or don't answer. You can switch it off again with another code whenever you like.
What if it breaks?
Then your phone behaves as though it never existed. It's built to fail safe: your phone always rings first, and if our side is ever unreachable the call comes back to your mobile. It's designed so you never end up with a dead line.
What happens in a real emergency?
You tell us the words that mean drop everything in your line of work. A burst pipe, a smell of gas, a roof that's come off. If a caller says one, it doesn't ask questions. It says it's putting them through and rings your mobile live, with the caller on the line. If you can't answer, it comes back and takes a full message. For gas and electrical work it also gives the national emergency number.
Can a caller just ask for a person?
Yes, at any point, even before giving their name. It puts them straight through to your mobile.
How do I hear about calls?
By text, to your mobile, during the call. There's nothing to log into and no app to check. If you'd like the full written transcript of a call, ask and we'll send it.
Who sets it up?
We do, all of it. If we've built your website we already know your services, hours, area and reviews, so there's nothing for you to fill in. You tell us your emergency words and when you'd like to promise call backs, you dial one code on your phone, and we test it together with a real call.
Is there a contract?
No. It runs month to month alongside your website. If you stop, you dial a code to turn the forwarding off and that's the end of it.
